Lamborghini Gallardo Models
As the Lamborghini Gallardo was produced for almost a decade there are a number of different models.
The 2004 Lamborghini Gallardo also featured a nice list of standard equipment such as ABS brakes, a navigation system, and leather seats.
It was still mated with the same 5.0 liter, V10 engine that offered 493 horsepower and 375 pounds-feet of torque. The said engine was coupled with a six-speed automatic transmission with sequential shifting. It also had ABS brakes, hi density discharge headlights, airbags, and traction control.
The 2005 Lamborghini Gallardo was a bit cheaper than its older sibling. It had minor updates to the older Lamborghini, with some styling improvements.
The next year, 2006, saw the addition of a limited edition SE model to the Lamborghini Gallardo line. The SE model featured extra power and quicker acceleration.
The 2006 Lamborghini Gallardo featured 19-inch alloy wheels, state of the art audio system, and full power accessories. It was powered by a 5 liter, V-10 engine with a standard 493 horsepower and a torque of 375 pounds-feet.
The 2006 Lamborghini Gallardo was so fast that it can zoom from 0 to 60 in around four seconds. It was also mated with a six-speed manual transmission.
The 2007 Lamborghini Gallardo, meanwhile, came in two variations—a two door Coupe and a Spyder convertible. It was still lightweight, just as you would expect from any sports car.
Powered by a 5 liter, V10 engine, the aluminum-bodied 2007 Gallardo had an eye-popping 493 horsepower and 375-pound feet of torque. Lamborghini mated it with Pirelli tires, 19-inch wheels, and Brembo brakes. It was also a stunner, with features like ABS brakes, dual zone climate control, handcrafted leather, and driver-side airbags.
The 2007 Lamborghini Gallardo will be remembered as one of the sexiest sports cars from Lamborghini. The shape alone would ‘trick’ your eyes into thinking that the Gallardo is moving fast, even when it is standing still.
The 2007 Gallardo also had two new body colors—Celeste Phoebe and Verde Picus. Also, a special limited edition called “Nera” was offered; there were only 185 units produced worldwide. The said model had a special matte-black exterior, including special features like height-adjustable suspension.
For the 2008 year model, Lamborghini introduced the limited edition Gallardo Superleggera. “Leggera” means light in Italian.
The Gallardo Superleggera supersedes the base model. It is a more track-focused sports car which features carbon fiber components, resulting in a body weight that is up to 150 pounds lighter than previous models.
The engine of the Superleggera also improves on the previous engines of old Gallardo models, with a 503 horsepower output, or a 10 horsepower increase over the old 5.0 liter V10 output.
